Background/Scope: Nashville Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA, dba WeGo Public Transit) intends to utilize the Tennessee State Contract (#65724) with the incorporation of Federal Transit Administration (FTA) contractual language to procure goods and services from Motorola Solutions (Motorola). This contract will include the Programming Agreement Services (software) and Radio accessories (hardware) that support MTA’s Communications and Information Technology (IT) infrastructure. This contract will maintain the already established functionality and utility of existing Motorola communication platform currently being utilized.
Justification for Sole-Source Procurement: There are other providers of Radio Goods and Services. However, this solution is not viable due to limitations of technology integration and compatibility. Using a different Goods and Service provider would require dismantling and reconstructing the entire radio communications infrastructure supporting the MTA communications system. MTA only wishes to maintain the existing infrastructure utilizing the technology and equipment currently in operation. Therefore, Motorola is a standalone communications platform and thus a sole source procurement.
If a provider can meet the required specifications, please submit your proposal (software compatibly/integration/licensing rights information and hardware cost) to [email protected] by Friday, September 23, 2022, before 1:00 p.m. CST.
