Service Changes

bus

WeGo Public Transit modifies existing routes, schedules, and bus stops in order to improve overall service twice a year. We make these changes based on ridership trends, service reliability, and route productivity. Changes are generally implemented in the winter (early January) and the summer (early July).

The process takes six months and includes:

  • Proposal development
  • Community meetings
  • Board approval
  • Schedule development
  • Infrastructure
  • Customer information
  • Implementation

Proposed Summer 2026 Changes

WeGo Public Transit will hold public meetings and have an open public comment period from March 16 through April 10 regarding proposed Summer service changes and a strategic service plan called WeGo Forward. It’s an opportunity to comment on short-term and long-term transit planning for Nashville and Middle Tennessee. Service changes are funded by Choose How You Move, Nashville's voter-approved transportation improvement program.
