Nolensville Pike Shelter Project

bus

Nolensville Pike bus passengers now have a better waiting, boarding, and transit experience.

As WeGo Public Transit's third busiest route serving an average of 58,000 passengers per month, WeGo invested in improving the infrastructure for its customers, pedestrians, and cyclists in the area. Improvements included bus shelters and other stop amenities, sidewalks, connectivity to crosswalks, and retention of bicycle lanes.

The design for the project won the Grand Award for Engineering Excellence by the American Council of Engineering Companies of Tennessee. It also received an award from Walk/Bike Nashville for Most Walkable/Bikeable Project NON UZO, which was given to the development that is best designed for those on foot, bicycle, scooter, mobility device, or bus.

The Nolensville Pike Shelter Project was a partnership with WeGo, the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT), and Metro Public works to enhance and improve 18 bus stop locations on Route 52 from Downtown to Harding Road.
