Expansion of service with Choose How You Move
NASHVILLE — WeGo Public Transit is proposing a new connector route in Antioch and frequency improvements for its Winter 2027 Service Changes. Service changes are funded by Mayor Freddie O’Connell’s voter-approved Choose How You Move transportation improvement program.
An open public comment period on the proposed changes will be held from Monday, September 21 through Friday, October 16, 2026. During this time, customers can view the proposed changes, provide comments directly to WeGo staff, and submit feedback via mail, phone, and email as the agency works to ensure the proposed changes meet the needs of the communities served.
Winter 2027 Proposed Service Changes
New Route
- Bell Road connector between Nolensville Pike and Murfreesboro Pike, serving Bell Road and Tanger/Century Farms
- Operating every 30-40 minutes daily
Weekday and Weekend Frequency Improvements
8 Eighth Avenue South:
- Weekdays
- Every 20 minutes from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. (currently every 25-30 minutes)
- Every 30 minutes from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. (currently every 40-60 minutes)
- Extend hourly service until 1:15 a.m. (currently ends at 11:15 p.m.)
- Saturdays
- Every 20 minutes from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. (currently every 25-30 minutes)
- Every 30 minutes from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. (currently every 40-60 minutes)
- Extend hourly service until 1:15 a.m. (currently ends at 11:15 p.m.)
- Sundays
- Every 30 minutes from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. (currently every 40 minutes)
- Every 40 minutes from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. (currently every 60 minutes)
- Extend hourly service until 1:15 a.m. (currently ends at 11:15 p.m.)
Weekday Frequency Improvements
- 19 Herman – from every 30 minutes to every 20 minutes from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Weekend Frequency Improvements
- 42 St. Cecilia/Cumberland – improve from hourly to every 40 minutes from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

If proposed changes are approved by the Nashville MTA board, they will go into effect on January 3, 2027.
